Updates
- Website:
- no content updates, it still frequently crashes and the file upload seems broken again
- Important: Header picture needs to be changed
- communication channels should be added to the website, too
- Submission System
- Opening postponed due to some technical issues, but that will not change the submission deadline
- For the software description, we will go for simple textboxes of fixed length as a summary (1000 characters in length) and the possibility to attach a PDF with a longer description
- Content
- Walking
- Vision
- Localization
- Team Communication
- Behavior
- Contributions to the RoboCup community, e.g: Software releases, Provision of league infrastructure or data sets
- Paper publications (with possibility upload bibtex)
- Local Organization
- Updates on number of fields?
- There was one outdoor field planned, but this has not been discussed with the league, so we cannot do that
- All TC members should raise concerns with the current proposal by the LOC, so Soroush can gather and forward them
- Deadline to announce major changes in requirements is Nov 30th!!!
- Maike makes a list of the equipment again
- Updates on number of fields?
- Trustee approval on HOC and HRD
- We made the updates as discussed and Ludovic sent it to the Trustees
- Trustees are discussing it online now
- Rule voting
- We moved to LimeSurvey to have it accessible from all countries
- Ongoing, some teams already participated (3 finished, one almost)
- Maike sends a reminder at 25th
- Roadmap
- Who can do the easy updates to bring it up to date post 2019 competition? --> To be discussed on the mailing list
Reviewing
- Two TC reviews per submission + two team reviews
- One PC overseeing the submissions
- Who is PC for KidSize and AdultSize?
- AdultSize: Reinaldo, Tony
- KidSize: Maike, Jacky?
Humanoid Open Competition
- What is the research contribution of the league?
- who are we addressing?
- Currently there are two main proposals (Drop-In vs Dribble & Kick)
- Necessary additions to the rules still need to be made
- Voting within the TC:
- Starting from scratch building the rule book OR starting from 2015 rules (or even earlier) and removing rules
- Drop-In competition VS Dribble & Kick VS 1 vs 1 regular
- It looks fairly unreasonable from today’s standpoint to get everything ready by 2020 (the four TC members in the call agreed)
Humanoid Research Demonstration
- Call for participation needs to be extended and added to the website as a draft
- Advertise it more in the CfP why this is an interesting demonstration league to enter
- Add to the internal spreadsheet who to personally contact about it
- We need to make sure people aren’t approached twice, so this sheet will be shared with the Trustees, too
HSC: Call for Participation
- Second call for participation needs to be send out (Maike can do that when announcing the submission system is open)
- Third CfP November 29th
SPL vs KidSize game
- Maybe during a local competition first
Open Discord Call
- Proposal: 11 to 12:30 on 26th of November
Next meeting
- Within the first two weeks of December
