Updates

  • Website
    • no news
  • Local Organization
    • Corona - we don’t have any new information, so we continue assuming RoboCup will happen as planned
    • Number of fields is confirmed to be 1 for AdultSize and 5 for KidSize, among those one with natural light - in the internal documents this is marked as an outdoor field, which is something we cannot play on
  • Registration
    • All teams that have been approved in the online system received their official letter with the registration code
    • No team has confirmed their participation yet
  • Trustee Approval HOC and HRD
    • Trustees overall appreciated the initiative and didn’t have further comments
    • Fees for HRD: “For the demonstration teams, if they are already registered for the Adult or Kid Size League, they do not need to complete new registrations for the demonstration. For teams that are not registered and participating in the Adult or Kid Size League, they must complete the Major Team registration as well as Major Faculty or Student registration for each team leader and member. If a team is new to RoboCup, they can apply for the New Team fee waiver and if approved, their Major Team fee will be waived, but they will remain responsible for the Faculty and Student registration fees.”
      • We need to check which registration fees apply for other major and junior leagues
  • Humanoid Junior-Major Demo
    • Call is scheduled for March 20th
    • The goal of the Humanoid TC representatives in this call is to make sure the new league will not be a pure Junior league, but a joint league between more advanced highschool and early University students

Qualifications

  • Soccer Competition
    • Remaining teams that had their material under review from KidSize and AdultSize were approved
  • Humanoid Research Demonstration
    • two teams were accepted, one rejected
    • Reinaldo sends out the first email with reviews, Maike follows up with official letter of acceptance
  • Maike adds all newly qualified teams to the website

Accusation of plagiarism

  • We received an accusation of plagiarism against two teams that were accepted for competition. Following recommendations from Oskar, Jacky will get in contact with the person who made the claims and request further evidence

Update list of awards

  • The list of awards was updated with the new game schema

RoadMap updates

  • Oskar raised concerns about voting on the updates without a discussion at RoboCup
  • How can we proceed?
    • we will organize an online presentation in which we present the RoadMap and the open points again and leave some times for comments and discussions
    • we then open another (brief) discussion period in the Humanoid Forum for everyone to participate
    • Maike sends around a Doodle to the TC to schedule a time for this
    • Jacky sends the Google slide link to the slides from last RoboCup and we add to that

Next Meeting

  • Beginning / mid of April, Maike sends around a Doodle
