Alternative motor drivers for DSServo 3218/3225 overheating issue

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a quadruped robot using DSServo 3218 and 3225 servos powered at 5V. The problem I am facing is that the motor drivers included inside these servos do not have thermal protection. After prolonged use, they tend to overheat and eventually lose performance or stop working altogether.

I would like to know if anyone here has experience with these servos and could recommend an alternative motor driver solution that would help avoid this issue.

Hi, I don’t have any experience with those drivers but I recommend asking on the humanoid league discord instead. It is much more active than the forum.
